Cookie Policy
Short version: this site does not track you. We set no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels. The one piece of embedded third-party content is the satellite map in our quote form, and it loads only if you choose to use it.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website. Cookies are commonly used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, or — most often — to track your behaviour across websites for advertising purposes.
What this website uses
This website is a static site. It does not require you to sign in, it has no shopping basket, and it does not build a profile of you.
- No advertising cookies. We do not run advertising on this site and we do not set cookies for advertising networks.
- No analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, and at present we run no third-party analytics on this site at all. If we add one, it will be a privacy-preserving service that does not use cookies or collect personal data, and this page will say so before it goes live.
- No social media tracking pixels. There are no Facebook, LinkedIn or similar tracking pixels on this site.
- Strictly necessary technology. Our hosting and security provider may set a cookie or use similar technology where it is strictly necessary to keep the site secure and available — for example to identify malicious traffic or to confirm that a form submission is not automated. This is not used to track individuals across sites.
- Browser storage in the quote form. The quote form uses your browser's session and local storage rather than cookies for two housekeeping jobs: remembering how you reached the site during your visit (campaign tags and referring domain, so we know which of our efforts work), and keeping the form's layout consistent if you return. Neither is shared with anyone else, and session storage clears when you close the tab. You can clear both in your browser at any time.
Why there is no cookie banner
Under Irish and EU rules, consent is required before setting cookies that are not strictly necessary — such as advertising and analytics cookies. Because this site does not set any such cookies, there is nothing for you to consent to, and a banner would serve no purpose other than to interrupt you. The one third-party element that can set cookies — the satellite map described below — loads only when you actively enter an Eircode, and can be avoided entirely by using the address option instead.
If that ever changes, we will implement a proper consent mechanism that asks before anything non-essential is set, and update this page.
Third-party content
Pages on this site link out to third-party websites — for example SEAI, gov.ie or Eurostat. Once you follow a link, you are subject to that organisation's own cookie and privacy practices, which we do not control.
There is one piece of embedded third-party content: the satellite roof map in our quote form. It is provided by Google and loads only after you enter a valid Eircode — not when the page first opens. At that point Google receives the Eircode and the technical data any web request carries, and may set its own cookies, underGoogle's privacy policy. We use it because seeing your actual roof makes for a far better first conversation than a form field can. If you would rather it never loaded, use the "No Eircode? Use your address instead" link in the form — nothing is requested from Google and no map appears. We embed no other third-party media players or social widgets.
Controlling cookies yourself
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Every major browser allows you to see what is stored, remove it, and prevent sites from setting cookies in future. Blocking cookies will not prevent this site from working.
Forms and the data you send us
When you submit an enquiry through this site, the details you enter are sent to us so we can respond. That is covered by our Privacy Policy rather than this cookie policy — it is data you have chosen to give us, not something collected passively.
